Frequently Asked Questions ...........

How do I make a booking?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for events taking place at 'peak times' e.g. summer, Christmas & New Year and those falling on a Saturday, as we have bookings confirmed up to 2010. We are happy to provisionally hold a date for a short period and offer you first refusal if another client would like to book us for the same date. Please call Sheila on 020 8641 1935 or 07868 039 514 or email us with your enquiry.

How much do you charge?

Our fees are tailored on an individual basis, depending on how many musicians you require, how long you'd like us to play and where the event is taking place. Our quotes include travel expenses, sound equipment -including piano (if there isn't one already at the venue), up to 4 hours playing time and recorded jazz/swing cds which we play through our amps while the band takes a short break, so that the music is seamless for your guests. We try to be as flexible as possible and prefer to play to your timescale rather than have specific set lengths. Please click HERE for an obligation free quote.

Can we come and see you perform live?

Throughout the year we only do a handfull of events that are public. About 99% of the work that we do consists of weddings, corporate events and private parties. However, public events will always be advertised on this site, please look at the column on the left for upcoming public gigs.

How far will you travel?

We are based within easy access of the M25 in the South-East so many of our bookings come from Surrey, London, Kent, Essex, Sussex And Hampshire, however we regularly travel further afield performing at weddings, civil ceremonies, parties and other special events in Cornwall, The Midlands, Yorkshire and throughout the UK.

Which line up should we choose?

Duo (vocals & piano) - perfect for cocktail parties, small intimate weddings and corporate events and parties in the home where space is limited.

Trio (vocals, piano & bass or drums) - can create a wonderful mellow feel yet can also swing into the night for dancing at smaller weddings and private or corporate parties.

Quartet (vocals, piano, bass & drums) - ideal for larger events, where that big classic jazz sound is guaranteed to get people on their feet.

Quintet (vocals, piano, bass, drums and saxophone) - the full line up, great for dinner dances, large weddings and any other big occasion!

What do you wear?Monkey Island Hotel, Bray, Berks.

We usually wear all black, either plain suits and cocktail dress or dinner suits and evening dress depending on the occasion.

Do you provide recorded music when the band aren't playing?

Yes. We usually play well known jazz/swing cds through our amplifiers or we're happy to play your own cds if you prefer.

What if the venue doesn't have a piano?

If there is no piano at the venue, we can provide a Yamaha Digital Piano which has a fantastic sound (all the Mp3s on this site were recorded using a YDP). In addition to this, we provide all our own sound equipment. All we need is the power supply.

Can you learn a song of my choice?

If you let us know in advance, we'd be happy to learn any favourite song.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?.

Yes, please click  HERE to view my certificate supplied by the Musician's Union.

Can you perform outdoors?

Yes, as long as we can be connected to a power supply and have adequate protection from any bad weather or very hot sun.
